Jiang Xueqin Confirmed Predictions: What He Got Right So Far
Sixteen of Professor Jiang Xueqin's geopolitical predictions have been proven right so far — and six proven wrong. As of August 18, 2026, this independent tracker holds 378 predictions extracted from his lectures on the Predictive History YouTube channel, of which 22 have resolved: 16 confirmed, 6 wrong, a 73% hit rate on the scoreable record. The other 339 are still pending — too early, or too slow-moving, to judge. Nearly everything he has gotten right falls into two clusters: the 2024 US election, and the US-Iran war that began in March 2026.
The 2024 election calls
In April 2024, with the presidential race still looking close, Jiang called a Trump victory (P001). That was confirmed in November 2024, when Trump won. His May 2024 read of the VP slot cuts both ways, and the record shows both sides: he named Nikki Haley as Trump's most likely pick (P002a) — wrong — while separately flagging JD Vance as a strong alternative (P002b). The Vance call was confirmed in July 2024, when Trump selected him. One hit and one miss on the same topic, made in the same month.
The Iran war cluster: one event, twelve hits
The anchor call came in April 2024, when Jiang predicted the United States would go to war with Iran (P011), giving himself a two-to-four-year window. The war began in March 2026 — inside it. Once fighting started, it confirmed a stack of specifics he had committed to months or years earlier: the decapitation strike that killed Ayatollah Khamenei around March 1, 2026 (P088); the destruction of the Iranian navy (P105); the US bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities (P012); the closure of the Strait of Hormuz (P026), called in summer 2025; and the succession of Mojtaba Khamenei as Supreme Leader (P041), a call made in May 2024 that the March 2026 strike settled.
Two confirmed calls sit outside the big clusters: a December 2025 prediction that America would attack Venezuela in the short term (P082), and a May 2026 prediction that AI companies would introduce AI girlfriends and sexual companions to drive engagement (P129).

The misses and the fine print
The record is not one-sided. The two wrong calls to date:
- P002a — Trump picks Nikki Haley as VP (May 2024): wrong.
- P017 — Putin declares a nuclear umbrella over Iran (May 2024): wrong, and instructive — Jiang was right that nuclear weapons would not be used (P016), but wrong about the mechanism. No Russian umbrella ever came.
Two caveats worth stating plainly. First, the denominator is small: only 22 of 378 tracked predictions have resolved, about 6%. A 73% rate on 22 calls will move as the 339 pending predictions mature. Second, twelve of the sixteen confirmations trace to a single macro event — the US-Iran war. Strip that war out and the list of Jiang Xueqin right predictions gets much shorter: so far, the scorecard is largely a bet on one war that came in.
